Hingston Farmhouse & Annexe Reviews

5 out of 5 stars based on 6 customer reviews.

  • Absolutely beautiful home with so much space for a large party. Susie was so quick to respond with any questions we had and we were met with some lovely homemade flapjack and fresh eggs from the chickens. Be ready for the loveliest dogs you'll ever meet, who love nothing more than some fuss in the spacious garden with incredible views of the farmland and countryside. The house was clean with a well equipped kitchen and was absolutely spotless. Thank you so much Susie, what a wonderful holiday 🙂

Amazing house with large gardens including a swing and trampoline. Susie and John are on hand whenever you need them, the dogs Blue and Meg will join you in the garden (very well behaved)

  • Just got back from a lovely week here the rural location was great the kids loved feeding the horses playing with the dogs and collecting eggs from the chickens! Susie very kindly gave them a ride on yogi too! The farmhouse is spacious with plenty of crockery glasses cutlery etc. Felt rustic and homely. Good local knowledge supplied too. We had great meals at the Pickwick arms and the oyster shack.

Ours was a very relaxed and comfortable holiday stay and we loved everything about it . We could hear the owls and even the sea in the peace and quiet of the nights. Our ages ranged from 68yrs to 5 months and everyone had a great time . Thank you Susie's family.

  • Definitely a great place for large groups. Plenty of space for all and very well equipped house. The view was great and the dogs and horses were also a joy. We had a lovely time.

For me, the house exceeded the expectations from the photographs. The view is gorgeous and makes waking up a treat. The garden is a great place to either lounge or play games. The stargazing at night by the fire is second to none. We really enjoyed the local beaches, and found Thurlestone's smaller beach to be a personal favourite. The dogs will probably melt your heart. Always check tidal times before leaving, as the tidal road can effect journey times.
